About Hooghly Mohsin College
Hooghly Mohsin College was established on 1st August 1836. It is one of the premier academic institution, situated in Hooghly district, West Bengal, India.
The college is affiliated with the University of Burdwan. Hooghly Mohsin College provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce specializations. It also provides LLB (Bachelor of Law) and LLM (Master of Law) course.
The college has four departments namely Arts, Science, Commerce and Law. It also provides scholarship facilities to needy students. The college is well equipped with all the modern facilities including Library, Laboratory, Sports, Gym and Canteen. It also provides separate hostel facilities for all boys and girls.

Infrastructure of the college is very green and clean, have well equipped labs and also have well furnished classes. Faculties have good knowledge of their respective subjects.

Since this college is under Burdwan University, the CBCS exam format is used by Burdwan University. This is an extremely difficult course. I took this course because, despite the large syllabus and the short time frame of five to six months, it teaches students time management skills. Our year has an excellent staff-to-student ratio of 8 faculty members to every 25 students, and everyone gets along well. The majority of faculty members are PhD holders. They have a really soothing and beneficial teaching style. Exams are of a modest level, although they are frequently delayed due to university incompetence.
